  The Scheu Cello is our highly sought-after, wonderful entry-level turntable that sounds far more expensive than it actually is. The goal of its development was to transfer the renowned virtues of the Premier as far as possible into a particularly compact and visually appealing turntable with an integrated drive unit. We use the same high-quality bearings as in the full-size Premier. Sonically, the Cello turntable is a truly mature turntable, playing with tremendous drive, great musicality, and subtle resolution. The Cello is designed exclusively for 9-inch tonearms and features a 30 mm high platter.

  Due to its comparatively small dimensions of 42.5 cm wide and 33 cm deep, the drive can be placed even in the smallest of spaces and feels particularly comfortable on wall mounts.

  For this device, we also recommend the Solo Base from SSC, which you can purchase from specialist retailers.

  The sound

  This thing simply swings! A balanced and natural sound, with the included tonearm/cartridge combination, the small turntable is far from at its limits and will be even more enjoyable with future upgrades, such as using a Cantus with MC Scheu S.
