Cantus
The Cantus is a single-point bearing tonearm, with an arm tube that's not actually a tube at all. Rather, it's a master-crafted lattice construction. This reduces any resonance to an absolute minimum, resulting in an incredibly energetic yet very "relaxed" sound.
The counterweight is made of tungsten and allows for quick and highly reliable adjustment of the tracking force and lateral balance. The suspended counterweight construction and the wide lattice design in the bearing area result in perfect balancing without complex adjustment.
The Cantus is available in two versions: 9-inch and 12-inch.
The Scheu Analog Cantus 12 is a highly impressive arm design that departs from the conventions of such devices to deliver an impressive result

"Why not try a grid construction made of resonance-dampening acrylic instead of the usual tubes? ... The appearance of the Cantus alone is a highlight. ... The sonic gain definitely justifies an additional investment in the Cello/Cantus combo. ... Since the arrival of Scheu's masterpiece, my digital sources have increasingly degenerated into decorative bar traps."
