Lehmann

The Black Cube has been extensively tested by us and is always a delight. In combination with the low-output MC Scheu Silver, this technology provides for connoisseur sound after a few days of running in. It is nice, too, that this phono amp is also available as a dual version that is ideal for our Premier's two-turntable unit. This little gem also fits perfectly underneath the platter so that cabling can be kept extremely short.

Black Cube

The Black Cube has been on the market since 1995 and its uncompromising quality has made a lasting name for the makers, Lehmann Audio. Countless press reports and customer satisfaction that is quite unique bear witness throughout the world to this success. Now there is a new, improved version for 2006.

We expressly recommend, however, the use of the optional PWX power supply, to attain the full sound potential of the amplifier.

As an alternative, although at a much higher price of course, we can also suggest the Silver-Cub. This amplifier allows more detailed modifications to be made and guarantees excellent overall performance.

The Silver Cube is Lehmann Audios top of the range phono pre-amp. This exceptional piece of equipment has claimed top place in the world for phono pre-amps.

Trigon

Trigon Audio is a small but high-quality manufacturer of amplifier electronics based in Kassel. The Vanguard amplifier has recently been tested in the LP publication and was found to be very good in terms of price-performance ratio.

Vanguard II - Phono amp for MM and MC systems.

Externally accessed switches make it possible to attain the perfect match for gain, impedance and capacitance for a wide variety of pick-ups.

The external power supply allows the Vanguard to be located right next to the record player.

There is also a battery power supply suitable for this phono amp that further improves the overall quality to an even greater extent. The Volcano II can power up to two pieces of equipment so that two Vanguards can be run from it simultaneously where necessary. The equipment can also be supplied with white front panels.

For simple operation and utmost operating safety, the switches and displays for all operating parameter are locate on the front-panel. Also included are software controlled charging and monitoring of the long-life lead batteries. Externally accessed switches make it possible to modify the gain, impedance and capacitance to match a wide variety of pick-ups and the slim design means the equipment can be placed near the record player so that cable lengths remain short.
